I try to remind myself every so often that I can draw things realistically... Realistically adorable that is.
Sometimes you're just a worried loaf, and there's nothing you can do about it... Except draw how you feel.
I created this handmade card for my friend Pia's wedding shower. It was great to break out the Gelly Roll pens again, I don't think I've drawn with them since middle school! They definitely add a sweet bit of sparkle and always glide really nice across the page. Even the paper I used had a bit of shimmer (I got it from the scrap booking section of Michael's) it made this shower card have a little more glamour :)
My friend Rachel was telling me a little bit about a children's book she'd like to write and of course it had awesome visuals and I had to sketch one.
I wanted to have a go at animating something in 2D. It's just a test, but who knows maybe I'll pick it up again in the future!

I started in my style, and then tried a style on that's a little more like his. Well This was supposed to be ready for Illustration Friday's weekly challenge... But I failed at my preparedness.
